Last Family Pic of 2014
That 2015 will be an amazing year. That’s right I said it. With only 1 week down of this year I’m calling it. This year I have three big life anniversaries. I will have been baptized in my faith for 20 yrs, I’ll have a two year old son and I will also be celebrating my 10 yr wedding anniversary. So much joy to look forward too and be thankful.
Many people are big on resolutions that they want to accomplish. I’m more of a short term, long term goal person. I think it’s important to set realistic goals for yourself so that you aren’t disappointed
Here are a few of my short term
- Read the Bible Daily (one I have every year
- Continue having weekly date nights each week with my husband(a tradition we have held since we got married in 2005)
- Add a new recipe to ur meals each week(just made lamb gyro this week and they were delish)
- Continue to find at least one thing to be happy about everyday
So what are some of your short term goals? Start small and build from there. Are you in a long term realitionship? Keep the romance a love by having weekly date night. Need some suggestions ,check out my 40 date night ideas. Have kids and still need to find time for date night? Check out my friend Jennifer’s suggestions on her blog.
Short term goals can be ANYTHING you want them to be. Use your imagination and have fun enjoying 2015 one day at a time.
I find that I enjoy simple play time with my son. Usually I am just in the moment. However, today I wanted to capture his silly side. I know that he won’t be this young forever and I will always cherish these precious moments. Now I have something to look back on and enjoy as he grows older.
I love when we have nothing planned on the weekend and we can just go with the flow. Saturday was a BEAUTIFUL day in Florida. The sun was out and the wind was blowing a nice cool breeze. After baby woke from his nap we decided that it was a perfect time for our first family beach day. I got our swim suits and my ring sling(so many parents were trying to carry their children on and off the beach with their things. I actually had one mom say “That’s a smart idea” YAY for hands-free beach fun) We also decided to go later in the day when the sun cant cause damage to baby and our skin. We had a blast! We made memories and can’t wait to go on another beach adventure soon.
“Sometimes we are lucky enough to know that our lives have been changed, to discard the old, embrace the new, and run headlong down an immutable course. It happened to me … on that summer’s day, when my eyes were opened to the sea.”
— Jacques Yves Cousteau
It’s hard to believe that I have a few more weeks left until my husband and I meet Alexander and we are both so excited. I am sorry that there haven’t been to many hair tutorials up on the blog but in all honesty all my energy is going to growing a human lol. However I was able to pull together a cute vintage look for our maternity pictures and I wanted to share a few of them with you all. We want to thank Audrey and Renee’ of Captured Twice Photography for the beautiful shots. It was hot that day but we had a blast and we can’t wait to see what you have in store for the newborn pic. Here are a few of our favorites. Hope you enjoy
