Summer is HERE and that means short hair or putting it up off your neck. The temps are hot and so is this cute protective hairstyle.
I am a FAN of RHOA, I have been since season 1. It is my guilty pleasure and the only one of the real housewives franchise that I have watched every season. Nene herself announced her return on her IG account.
It is being reported that Nene has locked down a 2.5 million contract for season 10. She was one of the highest paid housewives before she left in 2015 with a 1 million contract for that season. Bravo is obviously really excited to get one of the OG back. I have to say I am HERE for it. I have always been a fan of Nene. I am glad that Kim has also signed on for season 10. Again I am here for all of it! I can’t wait to see how Nene, Sheree and Kim interact with Porsha, Cynthia and Kandi.
Its being reported that Phaedra will not be returning for season 10. She caused A LOT of drama and had accused Kandi of some serious wrongdoing. At the reunion we found out that what was said was all a lie. Now when Nene watched the reunion she sent out this tweet which to me indicates that she knows Phaedra will NOT be returning for season 10
You can never WIN when you play DIRTY! Girl bye👋🏾 #karma 1 down, 1 to go👊🏾

Phaedra has been fired but Bravo is letting her come back to “apologize” to Porsha for involving her in the disgusting accusations against Kandi. After that is filmed, Phaedra will be done and I am not going to miss her one bit.
I am so ready for RHOA to return for season 10 to see how all of this unfolds. I know I will be tuning in, will you?
Since I started doing my makeup a few years ago(2 yrs this coming June) I realize that I love big bold looks
Those are fun to do but it’s ok to look subtle very now and then as well. I am so thankful that I have friends who love makeup just as much as I do and have introduced me to nude lips and “everyday” makeup. I have fallen in love with mauves, browns and peaches. I may even do a video soon to showcase my favorite browngirl friendly nudes.
I am so happy that one of my friends decided to help me out and show an everyday makeup look. You can check that out here. We decided to create these looks and demo the new Becca Chrissy Teigen Palette.
I am so glad that I didn’t write off nude lipsticks and glosses. I am having so much fun creating these everyday looks now. Let me know what some of your favorite nude lipsticks are.
I can’t believe that June is almost here. We are HALF way done with 2017!!!!! June means summer is here and that means BBQ and long nights hanging with friends and family. You want to look cute, obviously. Here is a cute Hairstyle you can rock at any summer get together
This is such a fun and easy style you can achieve. Below is the tutorial.
Today Shea Moisture rolled out their new commercial under their new slogan #everybodygetslove and received some backlash. They didn’t show anyone with 4a-c hair and people are up in arms about it. While I understand why people are upset at the lack or representation in the commercial I am not one to boycott this brand.
When I first became natural over five years ago I had no idea where to turn to. Pantene was my go to but they only had a line for black women with chemically treated hair and it was so drying. I searched youtube and found out about Shea Moisture and decided to give it a try. I fell in love with it. I love that these products have become inclusive and people with MANY different textures can use this brand. My daughter and I have different textures but we can still use the same brand and that means a lot to me because I know and trust this brand for my hair.
This commercial I feel was just a way for them to try and bring in new clientele that they haven’t reached yet. I cab’t fault them in that. Now if this was the ONLY commercial they they released I would have been like HOLD UP! what about the people who made you who you are as a company. However, when they rolled out their new advertising strategy with #everybodygetslove they made sure that we were represented and beautifully I might add.
This commercial was 7 months ago and because we live in a microwave society sometimes its easy to forget things that happened 2 min ago let alone 7 months ago. We all lead busy lives. I honestly think that this was not a big issue and this touches on the subject of being so quick to turn our backs on black owned businesses. This company is STILL run by a black family and they make sure they cater to the black community. When they choose their ambassadors to the brands they make sure that black people are their representative( My family was chosen as a brand ambassador but believe me this in NO way makes me stand up for them based of just that)
This is a company I believe in and I have used for over 5 years. I didn’t see this much backlash when Pantene made a commercial that was obviously catering to a black audience when in fact the product didn’t start out that way.
I personally will continue to use this brand for myself and for my family
Here is the commercial that started the backlash
Edit to add update: Shea Moisture has issued an apology
