I saw a meme the other day and I couldn’t help but laugh. They always say that history repeats itself.
Ahh the 90’s when times were simple, the fashion was crazy but something that I miss sometimes. My son was born in the mid 2000’s and it’s crazy to imagine what the fashion trends will be like when he gets older. For now I enjoy styling him the the fashion that I remember and grew to love. Here is a throwback outfit of the day featuring my son.
I have been planing another girls night for about a month. My goal is to have one at least every two months. A night that I can get out the house and just relax with my girls. We decided to check out a place that we have never been to. This restaurant/bar that is set up like a speakeasy. You have to knock on the door and you can only get in IF you have a password(That is given to you the night before your reservation when they call to confirm) It was very chic and quaint.
I knew that I wanted to dress modern but comfortable. I hate waiting until the last-minute to plan an outfit but with a toddler you never know what kind of mood they will be in lol. So the DAY before the event I decided to just take a look around one of my favorite stores to see what I could find. I found a dress that reminded of the sunset and I had to have it. Paired with blue accessories and I was ready to go. In the words of Beyonce I was “feeling myself”. I threw on my GOOD wig and I was ready for my evening. I also have a video review of the wig here
Dress: H&M// Shoes: H&M// Necklace: H&M//Clutch: Ross
I saw this beautiful skirt from Melange Mode. These skirts are so vibrant and just beautiful. I had to order one. I knew I was going to be attending a wedding in a few months. When I saw this particular skirt, I KNEW I had to wear it to the event. I am so glad that I ordered this 2 months before the event because it is a popular skirt and had a month turn around time.
I received mine in about 2 weeks from ordering it. And the colors were even more vibrant in person than in pictures(I still don’t know how that is possible)
I love to mix prints and when I saw this skirt and ordered it, I already knew I would be paring it with my stripe shirt I had purchased from H&M.
Seeing the outfits on IG just made me want to wear mine! Finally the wedding day was here an I was able to get dressed up. I paired it with some vintage looking earrings I had, when I saw these it reminded me of a pair that my grandmother used to always wear so I had to get them.
Having a toddler means that when you wear jewelry that you have to guard it with your life lol. I wanted to be carefree. So I opted for these metallic tattoos from flash. It gives you the look you want and I didn’t have to worry about my son pulling them off .
I danced the night away at the wedding and got to see a loving couple say their vows before family and friends. It was such a wonderful evening.
Spring is here and that means time to pull out the bright colors and rompers. You can imagine my delight when I found out that Charlotte Russe introduced a plus size line. The prints are on trend and I love that they are a company that realizes that women with curves like to dress in trendy, fashionable attire too. The shoes and rompers that I am wearing are both from Charlotte Russe.
I ordered this two rompers in a 1x( I usually wear a size 14-16) the fit was great and comfortable. One thing I will tell all my curvy ladies, do not get caught up in the size. Get what looks good on you and wear stuff that you are comfortable in and fits your body type. Don’t let anyone tell you what you should wear.
They clothing that Charlotte Russe has released are affordable too. So check them out, you will be glad that you did.
