2015 roundup: Hair

This year has been all about the protective styles for me. I have put my hair in a protective style more this year than I have in the past 4 years as a natural. It really has giving me the break I needed to do there things and I LOVE just waking up and not having to worry about my hair. Of course from time to time I would let my hair come out to play. Here are a few of my favorite hair styles

Six ways to tie a Hair Wrap/Turban

I am a HUGE fan of wearing hair wraps. There are numerous ways that you can rock one.

I love to use cotton ones because they are great for elaborate looking wraps. Don’t be intimidated, the wrapping part is pretty simple. It just takes a bit of practice.

Now my curly ladies, just remember that if you plan on wearing wraps for an extended period of time(more than a day) or you have hair that easily breaks off. You can wear a silk bonnet underneath the wrap to protect your strands.

Here is a tutorial I made to help you with SIX ways to rock a wrap :)

Sunrise, Sunset

I have been planing another girls night for about a month. My goal is to have one at least every two months. A night that I can get out the house and just relax with my girls. We decided to check out a place that we have never been to. This restaurant/bar that is set up like a speakeasy. You have to knock on the door and you can only get in IF you have a password(That is given to you the night before your reservation when they call to confirm) It was very chic and quaint.

I knew that I wanted to dress modern but comfortable. I hate waiting until the last-minute to plan an outfit but with a toddler you never know what kind of mood they will be in lol. So the DAY before the event I decided to just take a look around one of my favorite stores to see what I could find. I found a dress that reminded of the sunset and I had to have it. Paired with blue accessories and I was ready to go. In the words of Beyonce I was “feeling myself”. I threw on my GOOD wig and I was ready for my evening. I also have a video review of the wig here
